Title | Quantitative Assessment of Methylmalonic Acid Using Fully Automated Direct Isotope Dilution Mass Spectrometry |
Summary | Two biomarkers of intense study and diagnostic power are methylmalonic acid, specific functional biomarker of cobalamin levels and several disease states, and glutathione ratio, an abundant antioxidant found in all cells of the body whose oxidation ratio is related to cellular health. To facilitate convenient testing, a method for quantification was developed using dried blood spots (DBS) for more cost-effective testing. The use of this technique can allow for more frequent patient monitoring and give physicians higher quality actionable data. |
Category | 1. Prospekt 1 Application information These applications were mostly done on Prospekt1 and can offer a good starting point when executed on Symbiosis. Care should be taken on differences in volume (SDU vs. HPD). Also, most information is based on other detectors than MS |
